Why do we need to take care of ourselves? What benefits are there and are they lasting benefits?

Self- care is necessary to be better for others

Confidence & self-esteem

When avoiding things that make you feel physically and mentally well - you are actually depleting your own self confidence and self-esteem. Self-care is crucial in todays society to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself. It produces positive feelings towards one self and increases your self-confidence and self-esteem.

There are many ways to maintain self-care. Such as

  • massage

  • reflexology

  • pedicures/manicures

  • lunch with friends

  • yoga

  • meditation

  • reading

  • exercise

  • hot bubble bath

  • running

  • spending time with family and friends

These are just some examples that some use for self-care. You need to know what you like and how you are able to reconnect with oneself.
